  • Sad neighborhood hrar today a neighbor bushhoging for a friend had the seat break off and he went under the mower. the friend found him under the mower

  • I heard about that on the radio and was glad to hear it wasn't you or Richard, although I feel bad for the other guy. Those overhanging seats scare me, I don't think the Ford seats are as dangerous, since one would land on the tranny housing. My neighbor uses old Farmalls and it's a straight drop to the ground.

  • I had a ford that had the spring welded, doesn't seam like a good idea.

  • Would never consider the seat a Safety item.....good point. So sad to hear the news. I'll check my seats and springs from here on.

  • I posted that any one using a bush hog should have an ignition kill switch,a lanyard attaches to your clothing,If you get swept off by a branch the engine stops.GOT LAUGHED AT BY MANY ON THE FORUM.a FELLOW WENT THRU A MANURE SPREADER YEARS AGO HERE.Hamilton Marine sells these switches for magneto or battery ignition.

  • Not good, Butch. Condolences to the friends and neighbors and especially the man's family.
    I doubt any of us think of the seat as something to check. Think I'll give mine a good shake next time I walk by.
