  • Pulling 101 -The Wrong Way
  • This is a short video on a guy trying to pull his stuck pickup out with his tractor. I don't know if he survived or not but a good example of how not to pull.

  • That video was on Facebook recently and the narrator said the guy wasn't hurt, but I'm guessing he had to go change his drawers pretty quickly afterwards, ha!

  • Yeah, the truck of mine has a Warn 12K winch on the front mounted on dual receivers and matching dual receivers and harness connector on the back. 125' of cable and a snatch block in there somewhere. I have pulled a few things with that truck and have found it slides real nice until I block the wheels with cinder blocks. I tried that flip the tractor game once. Clutch pedal works real good when the front end starts coming up. I wonder if home owners insurance paid for the repairs? Might as well add insult to injury.

  • Ouch. Wrecked both truck an tractor, and lucky to survive, if they did. Looked like the wheel kept spinning ant the log kicked him under the truck. Not a good day for him.
I follow a very simple rule. If my tractor won't pull it out with just its tires, I go and get a winch and pull to something solid like a tree or a post planted in the ground. Those things happen so fast you have no time to react.
