• KIDDE FIRE EXTINGUISHER RECALL

For the 14 years that I was this city's Fire Marshal, I always discouraged both commercial business owners and residents from buying fire extinguishers that had the plastic release valves and instead, recommended models equipped with the machined aluminum valves which have always been a reliable extinguisher.

Additionally, I never approved any extinguisher for a business of less than the NFPA 2A, 10BC size models, and even recommended this size for home owners.
