pressure washer
my pressure washer wouldnt start today so i took the carb off and cleaned it real good ,put it back together and it started but when i pulled the trigger on the wand it quit . it did that 3 or 4 times , i got so irritated with it , i put it aside and went and bought a new pressure washer .it doesnt make sense to me but i dont know much about pressure washers . got any ideas? rick

What kind of Motor..? Sounds to me like it is too lean and cuts off whenittries to accelerate. Try to revv motot with finger on linkage. Open needle valve 1-1/2 turns or more if it cuts off when you accelerate.

once you had it idling, were you able to move the governor link to make it accelerate? I just went a similar issue with my tiller engine. I had to lube things up to get the linkage to move and the shaft in the carb was frozen in place

thanks for the reply.yes i could get it to rev by moving the linkage .i had to close the choke a little bit to get it to idle though . what i dont get is why it quit running when i pulled the trigger on the wand. does that mean the pump is some how loading up the motor ? thanks rick

I would think something in the carb is plugged or a needle is set wrong. Just a couple guesses.
