Re: King
What the heck is a 'smooth block'??? If that s/n is correct, it'd be a very early 1940 model and would have the 9N-10000-B generator, 7A, 1-Wire/3-Brush/A Circuit and used the roundcan cutout. Cutouts are sold today but good luck trying to find a B-GEN - or an A for that matter. It'd also have the 4-Spoke Steering Wheel, and Aluminum Horizontal Bar Grille - both items sold today as repops and are very good. See Dennis Carpenter Reproductions to get them. Tim Daley(MI)

Re: King
Thanks Mr. Jack, Was mainly looking for restore type input, opinions. Some of the stuff will be like finding hens teeth, such as the original beer can generator, the original aluminum grille "I have a aftermarket aluminum grille". Trying to go original used wherever possible, really like the aluminum stuff,it's polishing up nice. Full dash, timing cover, govenor, pro cover plates, trans cover, quadrant etc. Right now, the chassis is soaking in a PB BLASTER bath, engine is stuck, plugs look great"no rush or burn up" oil is incredibly clean, looks like we have a decent machine to work with. Engine is a smooth block and is cracked but I plan on grinding the old weld n dressing it up a bit without trying to hide it. The numbers show it to be a VERY EARLY 40 model. I own 7 more tractors, lol, 39,40,42=9N / 43,46=2N/ 50,51,52 Harry Ferguson TO20. Kinda got the fever, wife still thinks I'm nuts..
