I don't suppose we'll ever get the real truth on serial numbers. I just took your TSB numbers and created a chart so I could compart serial number lists from other sources side-by-side. Lots of discrepancies and (I suspect) typos.
The most interesting thing about this latest list you have supplied is that it includes ending numbers for the last year of production. Still, I don't believe the ending 2N number given on that TSB is accurate. It shows 306183. I'm sure someone here has a 2N with a number bigger than that. Also, the ending 8N number of 519146 seems low. Other sources peg the last 8N at 524076.
Interesting information...thanks for sharing it. I still don't believe it's completely accurate. I don't think there's any way to nail down this info 100%. Makes for another topic to debate when we get bored with politics!
