Your source for that seal might be the same place I got a similar seal for a Fergy.
My local hydraulic shop. Take in your tube with the old seal and a parts diagram.
If the counterman has any smarts, he can find it in his catalog and get it for you at about $3.
Just maintain the attitude, of "Let's try that." I really don't believe the local hyd shop is going to have a book or reference to your antique machine. I got a perfect replacement when I chased mine down.
