Most alt conversions are GM 10si Alternators.
Cheapest one of those falls off a '79 Chevy caprice, if memory serves.
That particular unit kicks out about 30 amps, more than enough for your tractor.
Rockauto might be your friend for that one.
JMOR has wiring diagrams to get it hooked up correctly.
