replace shifter pin, 2N

Hi Guys, It's been awhile since I have been on here. Sometimes, life gets in the way.
My 2N has broken (I assume) the shifter pin. Is there a way to replace this pin without pulling the steering column first? I thinking no, but it never hurts to ask first.
