Oil leak part?

Can anyone tell me what this piece is, and what it's for? It sits on the back of the oil pan, is loose/easy to push up in, and has a very slow oil leak coming out of/off of it. The oil leak seems to get worse/faster when the tractor is used for a long time and the oil is hot.
