This a FORD 101 Series Plow, an improved design from the previous DEARBORN/FORD unit. It used shear trip bolts to ensure safety if an obstruction was encountered. I also had new cross shaft design and there was a lever to control adjustments from the operator's seat. A one-bottom plow is a good choice for small garden and food plots. They are worth more than a 2-bottom. Usually a single bottom is a 16" Plow but 14" is common too. Always place the single bottom at the front of the plow and be certain to have the rolling landside (tail wheel) installed. Coulters were always optional accessories for the plows and are not required for use. Modboard Coverbards were options as well. Most all Plow Manuals are available. The good news is that today some new aftermarket wear parts are available. Wear parts like moldboards, shears/points, shins, frogs, and landsides can be found at a few suppliers.
