Not a N Ford 3610

I have a Ford 3610 and thought the brain trust here would know the answer to my questions. The 3610 is a 1984 I think and nothing in the operators guide explains the 4 raised panels - 2 on each side and 2 bolt holes each. The bolt holes are apparently metric and fine thread. Does anyone know what they are for and what the bolt size is? PS the only 8N I have left has Boomer for a first name.
