I have an ancient bush hog with and old Warner gearbox on it. Warner was located in Auburn Indiana, but have long since went out of business (20 yrs ago).
The bush hog mows great, although it looks rougher than a cob, but the gearbox has a pretty bad leak. Has anyone rebuilt one of these with modern parts (bearings/seals) and where did you locate them? The gears I believe to be fine as the old hog works great, only thing wrong is that messy leak. Will probably have a fun time trying to get the thing off the mower and apart also Im thinking. Wonder if a better option would be to just try to find a new gearbox on it if one could be found to fit? Any advice or help on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks fellas.
