The other night Zack Smith and I were talking on the phone and one topic brought up was the color of the original Rest-O-Ride seat base. 8N grey seems to be the consensus and by the original AD brochure, it appears to be correct. I have a used R-O-R base, was painted 8N red, but several areas have chipped away and sure as heck there is Ford Medium Grey paint underneath. Also, what year were the Rest-O-Rides offered as standard equipment? Was it around '56? Some also carried a Dearborn Tag. Where was the tag affixed and did it carry a model number?
