"Afghanistan war veterans feeling demoralized, struggling with mental health amid US withdrawal"
To the veterans of this recent disaster, You people thought this was going to be different? Afghanistan is just the new way to spell Vietnam. At least you people haven't gotten spit upon when you return to the states. Once the dear Leader Harris gets in, that just might change again.
Hillary saw some of your brothers in arms get killed and her response of "At this point, what does it matter?" is highly indicative of the support are likely to receive in the higher echelons of government and behind closed doors.
Should the vice president Harris become president and moves to abolish the VA then you might have another problem. The military had it good under Trump, now your back under the democrats and your services might be needed stateside to clean up the terrorists bombings that are coming.
What? Yes children. If you cannot take the fight to the enemy's shore, then that fight will come to your shore. Not the fault of the simple soldier but that of the political leadership in the country.
For an update to your education, I would suggest you obtain a copy of the movie "Charlie Wilson's War" with Tom Hanks. It will educate you as to the reason for the failure and your ultimate undoing.
With a president that holds you in high regards with a statement of "You lying dog faced pony soldier" to the current vice president that desires to close down the VA, I just hope you can begin to face the contempt that apparently the chain of command holds you in.
At this point I shall digress while you contemplate your future under a chain of command that holds you in contempt. As for the UCMJ, you are aware that under it your Habeas Corpus does not exist and now your efforts were in vain. Hope you don't lose too much sleep over it.
