Petey will just get flustered, throw his hands up and with a great sigh in his voice exclaim that
"It's just not MY fault!" as it spins around and nearly runs out of the room.
Or,
#2 scenario, borrow Hildebeasts line of, "At this point, what does it matter?"
Then spin around, huff and runs out of the room.
It might soon become apparent that buttledge might not be much more than a whitewashed f*rt.
