I remember being stationed there in roughly '85. Knowing the strategic importance of that location got me a bit irritated when Carter gave it away in '77. The thought process behind that being one of "We have missiles that can go anywhere."
Then in Dec of '99 Clinton had the last minute option to keep the canal.
He passed. Now Iran has come to town.
Personally I find it funny as ska~ditch.
Oh, China moved a corporation or two into the canal zone after our exodus.
There is no free enterprise that does not belong to the Chinese government.
Hence not only do you have Iran coming to the party, China already has.

Now with Bidens kid selling off documents to the Chinese, I still say that we now need to sue the Chinese government for terms of our surrender.
Is that going to happen? Not until a few million more (children and grandchildren), get dead.
