The person who onboarded this individual should be fired. I was an employer for over 40 years. If you are unable to conduct your own background checks, there are service bureaus that can perform them on your behalf. They clearly did not run him through the E-Verify system. This guy has a rap sheet that goes back decades, and that info would have been easy to obtain.

Just a wild guess, but I am thinking that they passed on that because of the color of his skin?

I wonder if we will see some discriminatory hiring lawsuits result from this? I hope so. Perhaps it will teach the school board to hire on ability and run full background checks.
