pto pulleys
I'm looking for a metal pto pulley for a Ford 641 tractor. Would this be the same size and hole arrangement as found on a N series tractor. Thanks, Gary

Re: pto pulleys
KIRK-NJ: That looks like what I need. What are the numbers? Is that set up a cordwood/buzzsaw by any chance? Gary

Re: pto pulleys
The photo shown with the extension is set up for a ferguson buzz saw. Here are a couple of photos of the 1 3/8 pulleys. 9N741 but on opposite side will carry a production date code which should be after 1957 to ensure you are get the 1 3/8. The pulley will be steel with a bead running down the center.
The later thousand series will fit. Yellow in color. C5NN P741-A

Re: pto pulleys
I just measured my PTO shaft, it's 1 3/8". Guess I'll need the larger PTO pulley or the smaller one with the adaptor extension. Anyone have these? Would a pto unit from a thousand series work? Thanks, Gary

Re: pto pulleys
You can use the one off an 8n if you find an extension housing for it and use an adapter that is 1 3/8 female to 1 1/8 male or try to find the correct one with 1 3/8. I have a couple of 1 3/8 pulleys I use (NFS) but can get you the numbers off them, Might be easier to ID with numbers in hand. Kirk

Re: pto pulleys
Yes. Note: Most Ford PTO pulleys are designed for use with 1 1/8" PTO shafts and cannot be used with tractors having the, now much more common, 1 3/8" PTO shaft without adapters. Dean

Re: pto pulleys
I made an extension to go from tractor 1 3/8 PTO to 1 1/8" pulley. Old 1 3/8 snap coupler with old 1 1/8 cut off of old PTO, with 4" pipe spacers. Now with new 2n PTO I cn mount on 2N or 600. Had to shorten top shaft and belt, to make up for spacer length. Charles Krammin
