  • Prototype dearborn farm implement?
  • Hello, I have just purchased this and was wondering if any one had any info about this tag and implement.
I collect ford tractor and dearborn equipment and have never came across such an implement so any info would be great thanks!
Here is a video of it,

  • Interesting piece. Note the tag "1943" is not a date code, it is the Model or S/N from Engineering. FORD/DEARBORN engineered many prototype devices that never hit the market. Other implements were exclusive to certain parts of the country like Kelly Equipment, almost all in west cost applications. The Dearborn Cotton Picker was a southern product and then only a few made before they pulled the plug on that idea.

  • I would say you are correct. It may have been for certain parts of the country that had a specific soil type or rocks. thanks for sharing.
