  • Disc harrows
  • Hey all,

I'm looking for some wheel bearing housing for an old disc harrow. I haven't measured them yet but on the housing is "WD28" and they had wooden bearings. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction to help me find some?

I appreciate any help you can provide.

    Scott

  • I asked ChatGPT about it
  • One modern supplier of wood bearings for agriculture is Woodex Bearings (a division of MECO Seals), which offers wood bearings specifically designed for disc harrows, cultipackers, and other agricultural applications. They call them “Replacement Wood Bearings for Disc Harrows, Cultipackers & Other Farm Equipment.”
Click here to visit their site.

A listing at Burch Store Tractors: “New Old Stock Wooden Bearing for Early Model Disk Harrows …” giving physical dimensions and noting “wooden bearing … for early model disk harrows, cultipackers, and other farm equipment.”
Click here to visit their site.

    Hope this helps...........Ed

  • Scott, this info is dated and may not help, but just in case:

Here is his contact info. (he is a member of the Ferguson Enthusiast of N. America)

    Albert (Al) Hoyt
    (352) 568-8166

    Box 396
    Center Hill, FL 33514

He has the wooden bearings (aka bushings) for a Ferguson ABO-21 disc that he bought in bulk.
Ferguson part # ABO-5580-B (bottom) and ABO-5581-B (top)

They are identical to the bearings in the Dearborn disc harrow.
