  • Three point lift / dirt scoop
  • I recently got a dirt scoop, I attached it to my 53 jubalee and I must have done it wron. Obviously the two lift arms and the top link, what hole do I use on the top link be hind the seat. Secondly my tractor only lifts it off the ground about 6-8 inches. I can not figure out how to post pictures on here and if I did I'm sure they would be upside down. Any advise on why it won't lift higher. Thank you.

  • I got your pictures, Doug, but Photobucket is again giving me fits and I can't get into my INGUR account either. From what I see, your scoop looks a lot like the one shown here in our MANUALS forum -see LINK. Note the lift arm link pins are facing inward just like the ones on the Ferguson Milk Hauler.

  • ALWAYS use the bottom hole on your 3-hole rocker. The top holes are only for very light duty work. I don't know why Ford even came out with them-probably one of the Whiz Kids thought it up. So, which dirt scoop did you get? Dearborn or later reversible FORD? How is your hydraulic lift with other implements say a plow? Got it in POSITION CONTROL mode? Send me your pictures and I will post so we can determine what you have and how to further help out. Does it look like this:

  • On why the lift doesn't go higher, you might want to share some more info about things like what else you have lifted with it? what's the fluid level? Have you got the draft control lever up or down?

  • I have a 5' blade I use for snow, a carry all I have t used too much yet and a boom pole. I haven't checked the fluid recently but it has been at operating level in the past. My three point is in need of repair, it drops and raises and drops and raises.

  • Pull the round cover off on the right side of hydraulic housing, using flashlight, look in and watch the cylinder to see if oil is flowing out. Do this with the tractor running and lifting. If no oil leaking, chances are then the cam follower pin is worn badly. Shut it down and then with light and mirror, take a look at the pin, if you can see noticeable wear, might need to pull top cover and rotate it or replace it.

  • I believe the 3rd one down. Should be in line with the big spring in front of it. That's the one I would use.
