  • LOOSE SEAT
  • 1949 8N169650 The seat is very loose. I need part numbers and source to purchase. I have a parts book, but it only has the U shaped leaf spring. My 8N has the big coil spring directly under the seat and a small shock absorber. At the front hinge point there is a pin with rubber bushings on each end that goes in a tube and a fine thread bolt that goes in each end. I need:
    1. The hinge pin
    2. Two rubber bushings
    3. Two rubber bushings that go in the the lower mounting of the shock absorber.

N-Complete used to be 1/8 mile down the road from me, but now has moved to Mount Summit, IN. I have their parts book, but they do not show these parts.

  • Hey Joe (great song btw)
STEINER TRACTOR (see LINK below) sells a lot of the parts for the MONROE EZ-RIDE seat. N-Complete really went downhill after Tom Armstrong sold it, but some swear by them so to each his own. Personally I prefer the Rest-O-Ride seat. The Monroe, I believe, is limited to 150 lbs capacity.

  • Try Just 8N's and if not try Steiner Tractor.

  • by your description, it would seem you have a Monroe E-Z Ride seat. I believe it is an aftermarket product that would have been installed by the dealer or by an owner along the way. Try some online searches for that name and see if anyone sells parts for it.
