  • Working on a 9N (178905) The king pins are 11 inches long. I purchased a thrust bearing S.65986 (CONN3123B) and it is too thick. There is no key cut in the king pin either. it uses a wedge bolt to secure the steering arm. The axle pin has no flange and uses P/N 9N3126A with axle pin retainer bolt # 350635-57. I need a thinner thrust bearing for this axle and cant seem to find one? The thrust bearing I purchased is a ball brg and the one I am replacing is a tapered roller brg. Thanks for your help.

  • I have done lots of research, and yes the old bearing is a roller brg and only about 1/4 inch thick. Just 8N's and several others list just one brg and they are all the same part nr. and too thick. I even looked at my two other N's to compare. It's a conundrum?

  • Have not seen anything other than the flat roller on the spindle. Taper bearings for the hub.
