  • Think I screwed up again
  • Bought a pto for a Naa. Put it in .looked at the number on the invoice and it is for an 8N. I thought they were the same. How can I forget this stuff. About the time I think I know something, I dont know crap.

  • If you mean the PTO shaft, I believe they are one and the same nowadays -all 1-1/8 to1-3/8 spline. May be a tad longer too as NAA was.

  • Pto shaft assembly. I thought they were the same anymore Tim. Maybe I m ok.

  • NAA shaft should have a machined spot for the oil seal that separates the differential compartment from the hydraulic compartment, whereas the N tractors had no separation of fluids between the differential/hydraulic/transmission.

  • The shaft has a collar pressed on that runs in a seal.The collar had moved on a shaft I replaced years ago.

  • If you use the same fluid in trans/hyd/diffy does it matter?
