  • Tires for 641
  • I have a 641 with really worn 12.3x28 tires. I also have a 9N with like new 11.2x28 tires. Any problem with using the 11.2's on the 641? Think it will look funny with the smaller tires?

  • UD is right, tire will look small. My friend switched them off an 8n to his 621 and they just don't look right although they will work. I will say this I have a set of Armstrong Hi-trac in 11.2 and they are every bit as high as my 12.4s. In this case I would try them on to see how they look.

  • I'm about to do the same thing on my NAA---The 11.2's can't look much worse than the 45 year old, worn down 12.4's that are on it. I'm also going to leave the fluid out and add wheel weights with new tubes in the tires, Dennis.

  • 11.2s are one size too small for a 641 but it sure won't hurt anything to run them.
I had the same deal once - a real nice pair of Firestone 11.2s that I ran on a 3000 for a while. That tractor should have 13.6s on it so it looked kinda dumb and when plowing I had to be Quick on the clutch or it would dig itself right down to the drawbar in short order. I eventually bought/ traded them for an equally nice pair of 12.4 Firestones and have been running those for most of 10 years now - one size too small.
I say try them and see if they work for you.
