If you aren't going for a full blown all-out restoration and spending beaucoup bucks on paint, I've found the TISCO paint works well. It's made in the USA by Van Sickle Paint Co. The IHC RED TP-110 is the closest match to the original Ford Vermillion made today. This was verified by Harold Brock and Carl Davis years ago. The FORD MED Grey also come close to the grey shade too with the Case IronGard coming in second. All other Ford shades, including the ones listed by TISCO are way too orangy for my tastes. Steve Dabrowski also used the TISCO on his early 8N.
FORD TRACTOR TISCO PAINT SHADES:
9N/2N = TISCO M2888
8N = FORD VERMILLION (RED)M-2822 - TISCO IH TP110 CLOSEST MATCH
8N (AND UP) = FORD MEDIUM GREY TISCO TP-13243
8N (AND UP) = *CNH IRON-GARD© ®™ M1J-957 SE4DS
*NOTE: CNH brand says used '39/62' but that isn't right. This is the FORD MEDIUM GREY and not used on the 39-47 Models. CNH no longer makes a Ford M2888 Dark Grey shade.
