  • NAA Rear axle hub
  • Started working on my NAA, The rear brake was set up, I got that free, With the drum off I noticed the axle shaft has slop in it (Rotating slop, not up and down slop) Looks like it may of been loose for years and has worn the splines on the hub and/or axle shaft, I'm guessing I won't be lucky enough to just crank down on the big nut to tighten it up ?
Would just changing the hub possibly fix it? Don't really wish to mess with the axle shaft.
    Thanks

  • Probably not.

Most likely you will need to replace both hub and axle.

Undersized hubs were once available from Ford but they have been NLS since the late 70s/early 80s.

  • Hub replacement MAY resolve the issue. Look for seal leaks.
