I recently purchased A Ford 6000 Commander. Runs good, 3 point and power steering were not working. I filled hydraulic reservoir in the front of the tractor and I now have power steering. 3 point is still not working. Do the steering and 3 point hitch share the same hydraulic system? I want to add that the tractor sat for around 8 years and the hydraulic reservoir was empty when I filled it.

Hey Ed , Lenny is a friend of mine, The tractor is a blue and white sos diesel, It runs and shifts perfectly Just the 3 point won't work.

Hello Ed, I have not bled the air out. I didn’t know that was necessary. I’m trying to determine if the hydraulic pump that runs the power steering is the same one that runs the 3 point hydraulics

I don't know for sure but I would guess that they are separate pumps because they are on the 5000 model.

Na , That was Scott with the race car, Still has the car, doesn't race anymore, He got the car down in the low 12's with NOS til he blew a axle tube out of the 12 bolt housing, Had to weld it up for him LOL
