  • Sad news about Tim Daley
  • Hello All,

This is Tim Daley’s brother, Kevin. We received news from Tim’s wife Betty that he passed away in his sleep last night. No further details yet, waiting on arrangements.

    Thought you’d like to know.

    Kevin Daley

  • Yes Tim will be missed. Just heard from him last month. I knew he was having some health issues but thought he was doing better. Here is an early photo of Tim (on the hood) and his brother Brian doing the steering on his grandfathers '39 9n tractor which he owns. RIP Tim

  • I am so sorry to hear of Tim's passing.
I never met Tim, just through this site.
We were both avid Ford Grease gun collectors, and would trade emails regarding different types and part numbers.
He was a great Ford Tractor enthusiast, and a book of knowledge.
    He will certainly be missed.
    RIP Tim.

  • Oh Wow.
    Condolences to the family.
I suspect if there is any machinery in Heaven you might know where to find him.

  • Wow! Shock! I have had many e-mails with Tim. I met him the first time at Buckley, Michigan when they hosted the FFCA. We met several times in Marshall, Michigan at Farmer Dans and at Farmer Dan's funeral. As said below, Tim was always willing to share his experiences and extensive knowledge of Ford Tractors. He will be greatly missed. Prayers for him and his family.

  • Prayers to wife, brother, family. Tim possessed a lot of old Ford tractor knowledge and shared it freely. At the very end, he was looking/trying to accumulate more, i.e., WW II Ford powered jeep.

  • BTW. The Ford "Jeep" prototype was powered by a 9N engine in 1941. There were a number of them, and a GPA designation (exact number, I do not know). I got to see one in a parade once. They were not, however, the production models. Production Ford Jeeps are GPW's powered with Willey's engines. My son's 1942 GPW is currently stored in my barn with my N's, Willey's engine.
Many bolt on parts and accessories were interchangeable with Willeys built Jeeps. A government requirement.
Also, Ford GPWs had many parts with the Ford script F embossed or stamped on parts even the heads of bolts. They had Firestone tires with the Ford Script name on them. My son's has 5 script tires.
There are numerous other details that my son knows about them that I don't.
