  • 1948 Ford 8N fender mounting brackets
  • I have been trying to find fender mounting brackets for my 1948 Ford 8N. The originals were removed when mounting a front loader. I have removed the loader and now I need brackets to attach the fenders, however the fenders need to be positioned higher and away from the tires. I have not been able to find brackets on any of my searches. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • I'm confused by your request. If you took these fenders off to install the loader, they should easily fit back on. I have had many Ford Ns. 2 8Ns with loaders, a 9N with a loader and an NAA Jubilee with a loader. Fenders with script Ford on them and fenders without, will all fit any of these tractors, oriented correctly and mounted to the axle housings with plenty of clearance to the tires. I've had tires sizes from old 10x28s to 13.6x28s. No problem.
If you have purchased fenders that are not correct for an 8N, I can see that might be the problem. hth

  • Hi, See my ad on craigslist at Finger Lakes NY farm and garden. Think I have just what you want.

  • Jim, just to help me understand - do you have the rear fenders now? Are they missing the frame to which you attach the fender skins?
