I have got to replace the oil pump in my 2n. Has anyone installed the 8n pump with the longer gears? If so did it make any difference? I assume it will fit. I know what it takes to replace the pump (line bore) so I will use the later 8n pump if it will work. I appreciate any and all comments.

The wider gear pump will fit and it is a good idea (higher volume pump). You're right about the line bore as the pump is integral to the front main bearing cap.
