Does anyone know what color pie weights were originally?

I don't really know, but I have always assumed they came unpainted. I looked back through photos, but found that most owners painted them the color of their tractor, so I have seen red and the N cream color. I bought a used set, and it had the remnants of blue paint on the inside of the hanger plate and the bottoms of some of the pie wedges:
