Purchased ne proof meter.
I have a late model, 1952 Ford 8N. The proof meter was not functioning so I ordered a new one from Amazon. The first one arrived and the front dial was not aligned properly.and the rear electrical connection was bent. I returned it. A second one was sent. It arrived with the dial also not aligned with the mounting screws on the rear. It should be easy to just mount it off centre to get the dial in the proper attitude in the front. Has anyone here had any similar experience? Are all of these made overseas now? Suggestions? Dave

I would return that one to Amazon and purchase one from one of the reputable Ford Tractor parts dealers.

Well, installed it! What a devil of a job to get the cable connected. All the work did not matter as it does not function. I believe that it may be worn where the cable hooks into the tractor. Hoping they will let me return it. Dave
