  • I can't get the linkage adjusted to use all of the throttle quadrant. The best I can get is about the middle 1/3rd.Ive had the governor apart all the inards are good .No flat spots no groves the levers are snug the spring no slack the throttle quadrant rod is tite and in the grove.
    I'm lost please help

  • On a 2n I used to have, the small pin that holds the lever on the bottom of the shaft below the quadrant was worn internally and created quite a bit of free play.

    You can't tell by looking at it, grab the small lever in one hand and work the throttle lever with the other and look for slop there.

    A new roll pin made a pretty big difference.

  • Got it fixed,it was the governor shims.It took 3 shims to do the job.
