  • Chains for the N series tractors.
  • I have a set here which are as new with all parts intact. They measure 124” X 20”. I just wonder if anyone knows off-hand if these will fit the N series. Dave

  • Dave, it depends on the size of your rear tires (24" or 28" or ?) and the type of chain (ladder, duo-link, ring, ?). For 11.2 x 28 tires, 120" sounds a little short to me, but that is a guess. Why not try them on your 8N to know for sure?

  • Well Ed, the tractor which they are being purchased for has 13.6X 28” tires. I am trying to sell the chains. I had hoped there would be a chart somewhere which showed sizes and what they would fit. Dave

  • AFter reading Dean's response, I did a search and found a Laclede tractor chain catalog online. For your tires, you need a Duo260 and the specs are in the link below.

  • Went through this a few years ago and did find a chart but did not keep url.

IIRC, it is available on one of the large tire chain vendors website. Do not believe it is tirechains.com but could be.

  • Got it! Well, an 11.2x28 tractor tire is usually about 48–50 inches tall, giving an outside circumference of approximately 48–50" × 3.14 = 151–157". Your chains seem wide enough, but I don't think they are long enough.
