  • would anybody have a copy of the 1947 document from Ford instructing dealers to repaint their remaining 2Ns to the new red/gray livery? I would love to be able to print it to show with my 47 that is one of the late ones painted red by the selling dealer. Thank you.

  • I have seen people state in online forums (Facebook, etc.) that this document exists, but I have never seen one. I do have one where Ford Tractor recommended steam cleaning and repainting red belly Hundred Series tractors to the new blue/gray colors for the early Thousand Series. Your best chance of determining whether this actually existed would be to contact the Benson Ford Research Center at the Henry Ford Museum and ask for any copies of “Ford Tractor or Dearborn Motors dealer sales bulletins, mid–late 1947, related to tractor inventory or paint.”
