Serial number
Can anyone help with this serial number? We think it may be 9N1554 or 9N1584. The tractor has early 9N features.

Re: Serial number
Yes tough one to read. Low serial number like that will have no Welch plugs on the side of block just one at rear of block up near the head

Re: Serial number
There is one Welch plug in front of the oil canister. It's early enough to not have a transmission dipstick. The gentleman who I purchased this from added that to the back cover in the rearend. I'll post a picture of the tractor later. I've restored 9N's like this and I know there are a lot of things not right. The motor runs perfect.

Re: Serial number
Humm, that's a tough one. Maybe 9N1064?
Any date codes stamped on the hydro-tranny plates or rear axle trumpets? They may give you a clue to get you closer to the correct S/N. Tyler (MD)
