The algorithms are developed by humans, and their personal/political bias can be implemented via the algorithm they choose. And, the data that is used to "train" the AI model can be filtered to affect responses given to prompts. AI is both exciting and scary to me. We are in the wild, wild west with it right now. When coupled with quantum computing, it has the potential to do wonderful things like finally cure cancer. In the hands of evil people, it has to power to do great harm, in my opinion.

I agree. Today, my son, age 55, made a video using a still photograph of himself at 2 years old blowing out candles on a cake. If you did not know that it was a fake video...WHEW! Think what misused AI will be able to do. CREEPY.
