The algorithms are developed by humans, and their personal/political bias can be implemented via the algorithm they choose. And, the data that is used to "train" the AI model can be filtered to affect responses given to prompts.

AI is both exciting and scary to me. We are in the wild, wild west with it right now. When coupled with quantum computing, it has the potential to do wonderful things like finally cure cancer. In the hands of evil people, it has to power to do great harm, in my opinion.
