This is a page from a Firestone Farm Tire Sales Manual dated 1953. The ad is for an AM Radio that mounts on your tractor fender. It's hard to tell if many of these sold, though I did see an original, NOS, still in the box, radio a while back on one of the popular auction sites go for big bucks. Like all extra whistles and bells like this, you better get the hinged model so as not to whack it off mowing under trees, etc! Also, this was BEFORE transistors and the advent of solid state devices so the unit contains 8 TUBES!!!...must've been one hot tamale! ...and you thought they just made tires...Enjoy.

FYI: The Firestone and Ford families were related by marriage. Josephine, the sister of Henry II and William Clay I, married a Firestone.
