A much needed step in the right direction.

Real tort reform has been needed in the US for decades as tort abuse costs our economy incomprehensible amounts that other civilized economies avoid.

If contingency fees were eliminated as is the case in (nearly?) all other countries, nonsense hot coffee type suits would vanish overnight.

Better yet, require unsuccessful plaintiffs to pay the fees and costs of successful defendants.

Don't hold your breath.
