Good point, Stan. On these tractors, not having the full thread is telling us that something isn't right. Either wrong bolt, wrong nut, or something keeping the nut from seating.
We should identify the problem and make a decision on what to do. The "right" hardware may not be available, so it's a "what to do now" situation.
