Its risky to be very far from the saw when cutting.Blade can derail or get stuck in cut and smoke motor.My saw shuts off when done cutting but I stay close by until cut is done.Their are plenty of things to do in a shop while the saw is cutting.I like to remember cutting thru 1/2 inch steel with a hand hack saw.
