  • Dearborn 21-2 Wagon Wheel
  • I'm beginning to refurb a 21-2 wagon. It looks like the wheels are the originals, but they are in sad shape. Is there a 6 lug truck wheel that will cross over and fit? I believe I can get new implement wheels that will fit, but the price is pretty high. Thanks.

  • The early 16" rims did not have the 4 extra holes in the rims, they were solid rims, only the 15" had the extra holes in the rims like on the front steer rims the tractors used. This is if you want it to be original looking.

  • Hi Mark-
I restored a Dearborn 21-2 Wagon about 15 years ago and had to get two used 16" rims as it came with two 15" on the front (optional) and two 16" on the rear and I wanted them all the same. I found the two I needed at a local boneyard as they had mountains of them. I see the 5.50 -16 (6.00 x 16) rims on fleabay all the time too. I then ha them blasted and painted and then purchased new, Firestone Rib Implement tires from Miller Tire to finish the project. You can get new wheel bearings and races from Motion Industries, just take the Dearborn/Timken number with you. If you have the old bearing and it isn't all mangled up, they can also match it up. George Bradish has the correct decal too. Hope this helps...
