  • FORD supplied the grease gun in the toolkit starting in 1939 but it soon became an optional accessory after 1940. The early 9N kit offered one of two different models; one was a LINCOLN and the other was an ALEMITE. FORD would use several suppliers over the years. The DEARBORN model shown was introduced in 1952. The fender mounting bracket shown on the LH lower front was bolted on with the existing fender bolts. It was my experience that this was not a good place as I would always snag the gun handle climbing on the tractor. I moved the grease gun bracket to the RH rear fender which was a more practical place for it as the 3-PT adjusting crank was right there, handy and out of the way.The first bracket had two mount holes but vibration on the fender made them add a third hole later on to minimize noise. Not may brackets were sold and fellas opted to just keep their guns in the barn. sent you an article

  • Ed I have a grey 1 with only 2 mounting holes. I also have a red 1 with 3 mounting holes. I am conct about leveling box crank handle hitting the bracket.

  • If you use the grease gun bracket shown in the link, it attaches to two existing bolts on your rear fender.
