Do you check oil level on dipstick with 3pt up or down?

You did n ot say what tractor that you are working on.
For the 9N-8N, the book says, "with all cylinders extended" or arms up. On an N there may be a max of a quart in the 3-point lift cylinder. Many folks just pull the bottom bolt of the right inspection cover and only fill to there. That is about the same as the "full" mark on the dipstick.

I was checking oil on a jubilee and it also says “with all cylinders extended “ like my 8n. I just never knew if “with all cylinders extended “ was 3 point up or down.
