Gear oil check
Just a quick question about checking the gear box oil level. Is the motor need to be running or off? The 3 point hitch in the up position, correct? Thanks in advance, Bob

Re: Gear oil check
The motor should be off and the 3 point to its lowest point.

Re: Gear oil check
The dipstick says to check with piston fully extended. I was made to believe that the 3 point needs to be in the up position. I'm just confused 🤔.

Re: Gear oil check
If you have an 2N, 8N or 9N you have the wrong dipstick. If you have a 100 or 101 series or later model extending all cylinders is correct as there may be a loader, rear remote requiring fluid.
