53 Jubilee
on the 53 Jubilee center housing behind the acorn nut is the back pressure relief valve . if i take a screw driver and push in on this valve the lift works correctly NO one has this part that i can find. if i put a compression spring in between the acorn nut and valve to put a little pressure on the valve will this cause any problems down the road

The back pressure valve is not causing the problem. The unloading valve is stuck which will require removing the lift cover to make the repair. Mark

will the valve ned replacing or just cleaning or do you know?

Generally they can just be cleaned so it moves freely. You may need to replace the seal on it. Mark
