I bought a new camshaft p/n 8n6250 and distributor drive gear p?n 7ra6255. The distributor drive gear has a line stamped on its face. When i press the drive gear on the end of the camshaft does the line on the drive gear lineup with something on the camshaft?

The only thing that should be aligned is the rotor facing towards #1 plug wire lug inside the dist cap.
Other than that, turn the dist upside down and give it a few drops of oil prior to install.
